Final years of a King

Find out what Henry VIII got up to on his final year, just a few months after Alice Glaston's death.

Dreams of an Eleven Year Old Witch

NEW NOVELLA COMING 2025

Alice Glaston was born in the village of Little Wenlock in 1535. She lived during the reign of King Henry VIII under strict rule, discipline and labour.

Much like children of today, Alice would have had an inventive and fantastical mind full of imagination, dreams and a sense of adventure. That, I have no doubt of.

In 1546 in the larger parish of Much Wenlock, Alice was imprisoned, tried and hung for crimes unknown. Shortly following this, the parish Vicar Butler wrote in a logbook entry of her death. He felt the need to quote her age twice. Here was a man who was unsettled by her untimely execution, even at the time.

Alices story is now much lost to time. Alice has become the forgotten child victim of Henry VIII.

Dreams of an Eleven Year Old Witch comes after a year of painstaking research, and character building, to help truly unpick Alice's story for the very first time.

Merely an exaggerated story of a real girl with a sense of real Adventure, Dreams of an Eleven Year Old Witch brings to life a vibrant story of a little girl.

Alice is the youngest girl ever legally executed in England.

She does not deserve to be forgotten.

Now adapted into a feature length screen play, J Ashley's Dreams of an Eleven Year Old Witch, the story of Alice Glaston is to go into development and pre-production for a full cinematic experience.

Sequal!

Writer of Dreams of an Eleven Year Old Witch has announced that a sequel is is development, focusing jointly on Alice's early life, as well as Hannah Ocuish, the youngest girl ever executed in the United States. The story not only explores the life of another tragic execution of a child victim of the times, but also on the events surrounding Alice Glaston before Dreams of an Eleven Year Old Witch. We are extreamly intrigued to read this ourselves as it's set across two time periods, and two countries, but in the meantime, if you want to hear the true story of 'Little Long Days', then seeHannah Ocuish's page here
